Well, after playing it for about two weeks now I have to say I'm actually starting to enjoy it and this is probably as close to KOTOR 3 as we'll ever get.Īs much as I hate the MMO-isms of how combat works etc.
I think I posted before about initial negative impressions of playing Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO. So I guess what I'm saying is you can blame me for Mass Effect turning out the way it did. And the inventory just got unbearable at some point. Not a big fan of being expected to rotate party members to gain influence for them, I'd prefer having separate dialogues for that stuff (read: I just wanna roll with Kreia and Visas). But there's a lot of streamlining in more recent RPGs that I personally like, both in gameplay and UI. Overall I did like the game and the story a lot, I'd played it back at the release but didn't really remember anything about it anymore. The end of the Sith Tomb was the worst, I ended up running circles around the room dragging the enemies behind me, with Atton resurrecting every few turns to shoot them and getting killed again.
Finished my playthrough and maybe it's just because I'm lazy and didn't bother optimizing the build/gear of my companions in the same way as the main character, but there were some ridiculous difficulty spikes at times when I wasn't able to use the main character.
